Should you be tested for the COVID-19 coronavirus even if you’re not feeling sick?
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently estimated about 35 percent of people infected with COVID-19 show no symptoms and, among those who do, about 40 percent of transmissions occur before people feel ill.
Is there any limitations on who can get screened?
Many health experts believe that more people — including those with no symptoms of the virus — need to be tested to help prevent the virus’s spread. For anyone under age 18, a parent or guardian must request the screening.

Nasal swab PCR testing will be done
Who will do the testing?
A licensed Nurse will be performing the test on you and will be providing follow up instructions as well.
Where will be my specimen sent?
Lab 24 based in Florida will be testing and providing the results. All test kits are provided free of cost by them.
How long will it take for the results?
3-5 business days
Will I be notified of the results?
Yes you will receive a call regarding your test results
How often can I get the test done?
Every 2 weeks

In addition DHEC Hot line is available Call the DHEC Care Line at 1-855-472-3432 between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily.”
If patient experiences serious conditions, such as shortness of breath, he/she is encouraged to seek emergency medical attention.
What if my test is negative?
If you test negative for COVID-19 by a viral test, you probably were not infected at the time your sample was collected. However, that does not mean you will not get sick. The test result only means that you did not have COVID-19 at the time of testing.
If you test positive or negative for COVID-19, no matter the type of test, you still should take preventive measures to protect yourself and others.
In the name of God, the Most Merciful, the Most Kind.
Peace be upon you.
